Each of these hand-painted wooden figurines has a very individual look thanks to the use of different local woods from Central Europe: for example, a fine cherry wood with a strong grain takes on the color differently than an average, but supposedly purer hardwood from beech. We find that exciting, because the figures ultimately mean one thing: it's what's inside that counts and not what's on the outside!
