Craftsmanship you can see and feel

Each Ostheimer figure is sawn, shaped, and painted by hand from locally sourced wood - around one million figures are made this way each year from approximately 700 cubic meters of wood. The Ostheimer style is characterized by soft, child-friendly shapes and a restrained color palette using non-toxic paints. This deliberate simplicity leaves room for children's imaginations instead of anticipating them with details - entirely in keeping with the Waldorf educational philosophy from which the brand emerged.

A range for play worlds and nativity scenes

The range extends from wild animals and farm animals to family and everyday figures, as well as the widely known Ostheimer Christmas nativity scenes, which can be found in the collections of numerous toy and nativity museums. This allows individual figures to form entire play worlds that children can freely assemble into their own stories.
