Ostheimer nativity figure lamb lying down made of wood | Wooden figure

Product description:

The Ostheimer lying lamb nativity figure, made of wood in a restrained design, is reduced to its typical form. The donkey is ideal for recreating the Christmas nativity scene with all the nativity figures (not included) or, during the rest of the year, for playing with wooden animals.

The lying wooden lamb is perfect for hours of play and wonderfully combines with our wooden animals.

Why playing with abstract wooden toys and animals is good for children's development

Playing with animals and figures becomes fascinating as soon as children can grasp in a coordinated manner and remains a focus until school age, if not longer. The more abstract the wooden animals and figures are, the more they stimulate a child's imagination during play. This becomes particularly relevant later, when children have to deal with completely abstract tasks at school age that require imagination and visualization skills to solve.

At the same time, wooden animals and figures also support your child in telling and acting out stories. They can represent themselves as individual wooden figures, while also being part of a larger whole, such as an animal family or a themed world like a farm or forest, thereby teaching children basic connections.

You can find wonderful wooden animals to go with the lamb in our category Farm, Wooden Animals, Tractors & More.
