With the Xyloba Melodia marble run “Kindergarten Songs” made of wood (56 pieces), specially developed for day-care centers, kindergartens, and schools, you can uniquely combine two independent worlds - music and building - in the form of a beautiful and sturdy marble run in which all the parts can be combined with one another.
This run is designed around the familiar melodies and songs of everyday life in kindergartens and day-care centers and can be assembled so that “My Hands Are Gone,” “How Wonderful That You Were Born,” “If You’re Happy,” or “Little Bunny in the Hollow” can be played. Of course, you can also build it entirely your own way. No matter how you assemble the wooden building blocks, you determine the melody, beat, or rhythm, while the melody is produced by the respective pitches. Thanks to the modular, sturdy plug-in system, the run cannot slip and provides fun and sound experiences even with robust construction. The included mallet can be used to play the sound plates like a xylophone and, above all, can be inserted into the marble run so that completely original melodies are created as soon as the marble starts rolling and hits the respective sound plate.
With this musical marble run, children aged 3 and over (with adult supervision), or 5 and over independently, can playfully learn about notes, beat, and rhythm. The concept behind it: There are building blocks, sound blocks, passage blocks, rolling tracks, and sound plates with different tones. The rolling tracks differ in length, allowing whole, half, and quarter notes to be produced, helping children understand how long a note lasts. In this way, the marble run makes music visible.
